Get Printing and Scanning Working Properly
Business printer and MFP support, agreed repairs, shared printing, scan setup, print servers, PaperCut and managed printing with clearly defined inclusions.
How this service helps
Printers disappearing from computers, stuck queues, failed scans and uncontrolled output need a coordinated view of devices and software. We support business printers and multifunction devices, from setup and drivers to print-server and secure-release configuration. We can investigate faults and agree repairs, and define ongoing printer management where required. Consumables, parts, device leasing and licensing are separate commercial items unless expressly included.

What's Included
- Printer and multifunction-device setup and connectivity
- Windows and Mac drivers, queues and shared printing
- Scan-to-email and agreed scan-to-folder configuration
- Print-server administration and troubleshooting
- PaperCut configuration and licensing coordination
- Secure-release and follow-me printing setup
- Agreed fault diagnosis, repairs and ongoing fleet administration
How It Works
We identify the affected printers, users and workflows, then review connectivity, queues, drivers and access. Hardware diagnosis and parts need an agreed repair scope. We configure or repair the approved items, test representative printing and scanning, and document responsibilities. An ongoing arrangement lists covered devices, maintenance tasks, support hours and separately charged items.

- 02
Agree the scope
Define responsibilities, deliverables and the change window.
- 03
Implement
Make controlled changes with testing and a rollback plan.
- 04
Hand over
Validate the result and document ongoing ownership.
Plan the right scope
Printer support, hardware repair and ongoing managed printing are distinct scopes. Quote factors include fleet size, models, queues, scanning destinations, authentication, print-server changes and licences. Agree what is covered before treating a printer-support call as a fleet contract.
Useful information for our first conversation
- Printer makes and models, error messages and affected printing or scanning tasks.
- User/device numbers, operating systems, print servers and PaperCut details if used.
- Existing maintenance, consumables and lease contracts, plus access and downtime constraints.
Questions before you decide
Does managed printing include toner or a printer lease?
Not automatically. We define ongoing administration and support in the service scope. Consumables, hardware, lease payments, parts and licence fees are included only if specifically stated; existing supplier arrangements should be reviewed first.
Can you fix a mechanical printer fault?
We can diagnose printer faults and agree repair options according to the device, required parts and access. We confirm scope and costs before proceeding. Some faults may be better handled through an existing maintenance or manufacturer arrangement.
Can users collect printing at another device?
Secure-release or follow-me printing can be configured where compatible devices, software and licences support it. We assess authentication, user directories and device compatibility, then test the intended workflow. PaperCut licensing is a separate agreed responsibility.
What affects the quote?
- Printer models, device count, users and affected queues or scan destinations.
- Print-server, PaperCut, authentication and secure-release changes.
- Approved repair parts, licences and the separately listed ongoing contract inclusions.
Testing and handover
- Representative Windows or Mac print jobs and agreed scanning workflows tested.
- Secure-release behaviour, support ownership and separate contract inclusions confirmed where applicable.
