Business Phones Planned Around Your Network
VoIP and PBX configuration, handset setup, network-readiness checks and troubleshooting for business phone systems, with provider responsibilities agreed.
How this service helps
Poor call quality, unreliable handsets or a new office phone setup can involve both the local network and the voice provider. We assess the agreed system, configure supported phones and PBX features, and investigate local connectivity and call-routing issues. We coordinate with your nominated provider where required, while keeping subscription, carrier and number ownership responsibilities clear.

What's Included
- Network readiness, bandwidth and power requirements review
- Agreed VoIP/PBX configuration and changes
- Handset setup and user/extension configuration
- Call routing, groups and voicemail configuration
- Local network and call-quality troubleshooting
- Migration, provider coordination and acceptance testing
How It Works
We record the existing numbers, provider, users and call flows, then agree supported equipment and responsibilities. We assess network readiness, plan changes and confirm dependencies with your provider. After configuration, we test inbound and outbound calls, routing and representative handsets. We hand over configuration and escalation details; carrier activation and any number transfer follow the provider process.

Plan the right scope
Voice quote factors include users, handsets, PBX platform, call-flow complexity, network changes and provider coordination. Agree who owns numbers, licences, service activation and fault escalation. Changes and migration dates depend on the provider as well as local readiness.
Useful information for our first conversation
- Current provider, PBX type, handset models and user/extension count.
- Numbers and call flows affected, symptoms and examples of failed calls.
- Connectivity, switch power availability, site plans and proposed migration dates.
Questions before you decide
Do you supply the telephone subscription or transfer our numbers?
Provider subscriptions, call charges and number-porting arrangements remain separately agreed with the relevant provider. We can coordinate technical configuration within scope, but a setup project does not imply that we are the carrier or subscription reseller.
Can network problems affect call quality?
Yes. Connectivity, congestion, wireless conditions, switch configuration and power can affect phones. We investigate the agreed local scope and coordinate with the provider when evidence points beyond it. Resolution may depend on provider action.
What must be tested before switching phone systems?
Agree inbound and outbound calling, main-number routing, groups, voicemail, handset operation and the provider-dependent calling requirements that matter to your organisation. Confirm provider arrangements for emergency calling and power or internet loss; these should not be assumed from handset setup.
What affects the quote?
- Handset and extension count, PBX platform and call-routing complexity.
- Network readiness, cabling, power and local configuration changes.
- Provider coordination, migration/testing windows and separate subscription costs.
Testing and handover
- Agreed inbound and outbound calls, routing, voicemail and representative handsets tested.
- Provider dependencies, configuration records and escalation ownership handed over.
