Contact
For extension help, contact the Fix Networks contact page. Privacy requests: [email protected], or use the contact page and identify your message as a privacy request. Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm UK time. Extension support is best-effort: there is no guaranteed response or resolution time, and no promise of weekend or out-of-hours extension support. See the extension privacy policy for how support information is handled.
Please include the extension version, Chrome version, the feature involved, the message shown and concise reproduction steps. A screenshot with private details removed can help. Do not send passwords, session cookies/tokens, a complete browser profile or an unredacted conversation archive. Diagnostic/operation reports are generated locally; review them before choosing to send them. There is no automatic diagnostic upload or built-in support-ticket sender.
Install or update
For an unpacked installation, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked and select the extension's dist directory containing manifest.json. Alternatively extract an authorised extension ZIP and load its extracted directory. Keep that directory in place.
For updates, replace/update files in the same installation directory and click Reload on the existing extension, then refresh the manager and supported AI tabs. Do not uninstall just to update: that can remove your local library. Download a backup first. The manifest requires Chrome 120 or later; individual browser features can have additional availability limits.
Version 0.2.4 is a preview. No Chrome Web Store listing or store approval is announced here. Ask through the contact page about access to an authorised preview; use only files supplied or explicitly authorised by Fix Networks. These documentation pages do not provide an extension download.
Connect and load chats
- Open a signed-in ChatGPT tab.
- In the manager choose Connect ChatGPT and select that tab. For a work workspace, enter the correct workspace account ID; the current extension does not automatically discover every workspace.
- Load full history and, if needed, archived history. The initial load obtains metadata.
- Index selected/filtered content to enable full message search and complete-content exports. Imported/captured data only contains what its source supplied.
ChatGPT connection, history and guarded account actions have fixture tests, but signed-in production compatibility remains unverified. Provider changes, account permissions, session expiry and rate limits can affect them. No additional paid developer API key is required.
Three-dot and Project controls
Each chat title has a ⋯ menu for that chat. Other checked rows are not included in that row action. Bulk toolbar actions use the selected chats.
Click a named Project badge or the Project context's Project options button to rename the Project, save/reset its local colour, view/export locally available chats or open an available native Project link. Member-chat menus also contain Rename Project and Change Project colour. Colours apply locally to the scoped Project; they do not change ChatGPT's native appearance.
Create Project creates an empty Project independently. Create Project and move first prepares the native website form. Confirm it in ChatGPT, return to Projects and choose Check result. After creation is verified, review the proposed move separately. Cancelling either stage does not move the chat. Rename uses the same native-confirmation/verification approach. Visible English native controls and the appropriate Project sidebar row/account permissions are currently required.
Disabled menu items show a reason. They can be temporarily unavailable during another operation, or blocked by source/account/protection rules. Wait for a check to finish or use the appropriate cancellation control, then reconnect the matching account if necessary. Imported/captured chats cannot directly mutate a remote account. Starred or protected chats remain excluded from remote chat changes; inspect protections deliberately rather than bypassing them.
Project names or membership look wrong
Choose Refresh Projects or Check Project membership. Expand the correct ChatGPT sidebar so available Project names/links can be read if necessary. A missing/failed check is not proof a chat is outside a Project. Local counts and coverage reflect available data, not inaccessible or unloaded chats. Archived conversations may need further verification. One provider/account's Projects must not be confused with another's.
Exporting and deletion
PDF, Markdown, TXT and JSON can include available indexed message content; CSV contains metadata only. Full-content exports require indexing. The current PDF exporter preserves text with pagination but does not faithfully render every table, equation, image, script or emoji/font combination. Inspect important exports before relying on them.
Use Download full backup in Settings for the application library. Restore replaces the current local library and treats restored conversations as imported; it does not recreate deleted remote chats or grant remote mutation authority.
Delete actions retain review, category protections, a typed DELETE phrase and a ten-second delay. Some selected chats can be excluded because of source, account, locks/stars or Project membership protection. Do not disable safeguards simply to force an unexplained operation. Remote deletion can be permanent. An uncertain move/write result requires checking actual provider state before retrying.
Removing information
- Clear local data resets the main library/settings and connection reference. In version 0.2.4 it leaves some auxiliary extension keys, such as pending inbox/selections and per-page collapse preferences. It is not a full purge.
- Removing the extension removes its active extension-local storage through Chrome; separately review browser/device backups and any other copies. Reinstalling can lose your local library.
- Delete downloads/backups from their saved locations separately. Cloud-backed folders may retain other copies.
- Manual Chrome Sync uploads are separate from the local library. The current extension has no dedicated delete-synced-organisation control; manage existing synced data through your Chrome/Google controls. Local reset/uninstall is not a guarantee of deleting Google's synced copy.
- Remote chat deletion can leave local saved content/tombstones and operation journals. Local reset does not delete provider-side chats; a provider-side deletion does not automatically erase every local/exported copy.
Fixnetworks cannot recover a local-only library from a developer server because the extension has no such server.
Other supported sites and network use
Enable other AI sites in Settings requests optional access to Claude, Gemini, Grok and X together. Current support is available-page capture/page tools/import/local management, not full remote history or bulk deletion for those services. Refresh the permitted tabs after enabling.
Search, organisation and export generation run locally with available data. Provider operations require the signed-in site/network. Chrome Sync uses Google when you explicitly upload. Context insertion can share excerpts with the provider whose editor you choose. Requested image downloads and links contact their destinations. Browser read-aloud may use an online voice; choose an offline voice through browser/system controls if that matters to you.
